1st Grade Parent/Guardians - On Thursday, April 8th the Mrs. Fata, Mrs. Gogats & Mrs. Jadkowski's classes will be going to see the Broadway Musical - "101 Dalmations." Please watch for the permission slip and information letter. If you have any questions, please contact the teacher directly. Please ask your child how they enjoyed this live performance.

6th Grade will again be participating in Pennies for Patients - funds collected will be sent to the Lukemia/Lymphonia Society. Each classroom will have a collection box and our 6th graders will collect and count the money each week. The class who raises the most money, will receive a Pizza Party. Last year School 5 raised over $1,500. We thank you in advance for your donations.

8th Grade Parent/Guardians - on Wednesday, March 24 our 8th graders will be going to Lincoln Center in Manhattan. You will be receiving a permission slip with additional information. Please make sure your child has a bag lunch with a beverage (no glass bottles). Please ask your child about his/her experience on this trip.

Attention all Parent/Guardians -- Please note the the district has changed the Media Release Form - you only have to sign if you DENY to have your child's picture taken for school use, year-book and any outside media use. If you would like your child's form returned - please let the teacher know.

Bus assignments - Have a question - please call the school office (376-8320) and speak with Ms. Pam or Transportation Dept. (376-8015). Reminder - please be at the bus stop 10 minutes before the pick up time.

- please make sure that your telephone number and address are correct in our records. The YPS will be using ConnectEd automated telephone system to make sure that you receive all messages regarding school closings or messages from the Principal.

Note to all parent/guardians -- LOST & FOUND -- Is your child/children missing anything? There are many coats, sweaters, gloves, hats, lunch boxes, etc. in our overflowing lost & found - if your child is missing anything, please have them check the lost & found outside the mail office. Thank you.

Our 6th graders are raising funds by maintaining our "School Store." Their stock includes basic school supplies and some whimisical items. The funds they raise will be used to offset the cost of buses for field trips. Our 6th graders thank your children for their support.

Parents/guardians of 5th, 6th & 7th grade - by now you should have received and returned the permission letter regarding the upcoming trip to Philadelphia. Further information will be sent home when all arrangements are finalized. We thank you for your support and cooperation.

PK, K & 1st Grade Parent/Guardians - On Friday, March 19th the students will have a Bicycle Safety provided by Westchester County. Please ask your child what they learned today.

Spring Picture Day - On Friday, March 26 the PTA is having a second picture Day. You will have an opportunity to have a family picture taken of your school 5 children. A flyer will be sent home along with a order form. Please only send cash or money order made out to Dante/Chester School Pictures the day of the pictures. If you have any questions regarding the above, please call the school office and we will forward your question to the PTA officers.

Student of Month - Students are nominated by their teacher each month. Criteria is that student is respectful, helpful, does classwork & homework, on time and good attendance.
